Fees and Insurance

Therapy

Fees are discussed before or during the first session. If you have insurance and would like me to file claims, you should consult your insurance company to verify your benefits for outpatient mental or behavioral health/substance abuse. In addition, my office will call to confirm your coverage. If your policy requires pre-authorization of services, I will obtain the authorization before your first office visit.
I have contracted as a Network Provider with a number of insurance companies, including:

Aetna

Anthem

MHN

Magellan

Marymount Behavioral
Health System

Medical Mutual

United Health

ValueOptions

Others may be added, so please contact me or check with your insurance company if you would like to know whether I am among their Providers. Some additional carriers will pay for services even if I am not a Network Provider with them. If I am contracted with you carrier, your co-payment is due at the time of each session.
You may also pay for services privately. Private fees are due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance. For psychoanalysis, which involves several sessions per week, payment is due at the end of each month. Cash and checks are accepted. Additional information about billing and payment policies is contained in the Psychotherapist-Patient Services Agreement and discussed at the beginning of treatment or other services.

All Other Services

Supervising and consulting fees may be hourly or daily and are negotiated at the outset of the engagement.
